As it goes, life took a change of course in the mid-nineties for me. My husband and I purchased an old wooden sailboat and we started to explore. I delved into the finer art of working with my hands. Boat building and fine finishes became my world. The aesthetic beauty and the lines of a finely built boat - I was able to put my hands on it with appreciation of the grace and dedication in boat design and construction. Not in the least to mention sailing over the ocean like a bird, with wind and water as my wings. The intricacy of a wooden boat's framework was a catalyst to the armatures of my bronze sculptures.
